  • Call the credit card co immediately and see what the problem is.

  • Your merchant agreement provides information on what to do with these cards. If you can’t find your agreement call your credit card processor and ask.

  • Talk to a manager.
    If it’s a mistake and you take that persons credit card – they can sue you for everything the store has.
    A wife could have easily cancelled the credit card by mistake or there could be a problem with the card.
