I have a non profit and i am trying to figure out a way to accept credit card donations over the internet. what are some of my options?

Hi All,

We are a non-profit and always accept donations through checks and cash ONLY. This time, we are having an event come up soon where we want to be able to accept credit cards.

This will be totally offline where there won’t be any computers. What are the methods available to us ? How would you rate them ? Since this is an one-time event (it could repeat next year but no guarantees) where we are hoping to raise donations and small sales of several hundred dollars.

Any ideas ?

Just so that everyone knows, we will be allowing people to
1) make donations (none of this can be in advance — people will come there and on the impulse, make donations)
2) buy a few items on sale. eg : books, CDs, etc. These also cannot be bought in advance.

Kinda in the dark here, I’m actually applying for a job in a bank. Think am gonna be asked questions about merchant accounts. Any ideas would really matter. Need to finally get out of the house since I quit my last job 2 months ago. Thanks!

I am filing for bankruptcy, but my attorney needs to know the account numbers to verify. The problem is I haven’t touched those accounts in four years, they’re all charged off, and on my credit report it only lists some of the account number. How can I get the full account number so I can discharge these debts in bankruptcy?

If I sell products like arts/crafts and don’t have a business license would I be able to open an account to accept credit card payments? THis is in California.

What is the best merchant account servive? I need a cheap one. One that has their own shopping basket. The more features they have the better. I need this to accept credit cards online for my software website.
