Does Google provide a credit card processing service? (I’m not refering to Google Checkout.) See Details.

They said that Google plans to offer a new credit card processing service. So, instead of using your bank to process your customers’ credit cards, you would use Google’s service instead. Supposedly you will also earn credit for Adwords by using this service. Has anyone else heard about this?

Yes. It’s called Google checkout and it launched in June of this year. Here’s a link to the info on it. It is basically Google’s version of PayPal. It’s cheaper than PayPal and even cheaper than most merchant accounts. It even processes American Express at .20 per transaction + 2% vs the 5% plus transaction fee that American Epress typically charges.
