Paying tuition online using credit card, school wants the student to be responsible for cc processing fee?

shouldn’t this fee their obligation and part of their operating cost?

I didn’t have to pay any fees….
and I paid online….Depends on the school I guess…I go to school in Canada

Well the gas stations in Cali make you pay .10 cents extra for using a credit card. It doesnt surprise me a university would too.

Any company that accepts a credit/debit card pays a processing fee. Hypothetical example, say the item cost 100.00. The card company pays the business 95 dollars, that 5 dollar loss to the business includes the processing fee. The card company makes money on every purchase you make with the card, the greedy bas….s!
