I realize a free terminal is great, but usually comes with a contract like verizon, etc. But a paid terminal may not have all the updates by the FTC for free, and you could end up being fined if your terminal doesn’t receive all the updates. (what I’ve heard)

Some people like to think they’re saving money by buying one, in a sense they are but it’s risky, if you aren’t processing with a terminal that is updated for FTC guidelines each month, you could run the risk of fines, etc. So I say get a terminal through a good company, like crescent, link above.

You can pay your credit card bill through the ATM if it’s set up as one of your bills or payees. If you haven’t already done this just contact your banks customer care centre they’re usually 24/7 anyway and ask them to add the credit card account $ to your ATM access and then pay it…make sure you keep the recept.

It works just like a gas station pump. It connects with a network to verify the account just like a store does.

credit card machines have to be activated like a credit card, thus you have to pay the credit companies to use it so i guess its not the equipment but the actual use that costs substantial money

If the pads are big. I would suggest some type of hanging display. I would just take down the customers information and process online if possible.

Only purchase a CC machine if it can pay for itself.

if you’re calling on a normal business day, you should get a live person. just write a letter to the address they have on the statement for inquiries not the payment address. or keep calling.

if i need to send someone a copy of my drivers license or credit card without sending a fax, scan those items into your computer so you can send those copies in an email format

You need to actually have the scanning feature, if you printer is has the flatbed scanning tray on the top, then just press scan and on your computer it should pop-up with the software to run the scan and it will ask you where you want to save it on your computer.
