Question by Ash148: Is it illegal to refuse service to someone for no reason & not allowing to use credit card if machine present?
I went in to a store to purchase something, there was a sign which said transactions over $ 20 can be charged with a card. My total was over $ 20. The owner refused to let me use my card. I asked why, “he said you are not allowed to use your credit card”. I said well, there is no sign up stating that. He answered, “I don’t have to put any signs up” and kicked me out of the store and did not let me purchase anything. Is this not illegal???? I would like to file a complaint but not sure how to go about this… any suggestions out there?????????Best answer:

What’s the best merchant service for processing credit cards online?
Filed under: Credit Card; Tagged as: best, cards, Credit, Merchant, online, Processing, service, What's1 CommentI want to be able to accept credit cards. Take down my clients card number and be able to charge it online w/out a card reader. I also don’t want to use paypal or goggle. And the rate should be the same for personal cards as well as business credit cards. Thanks for the help.

Does Google provide a credit card processing service? (I’m not refering to Google Checkout.) See Details.
Filed under: Credit Card; Tagged as: CARD, Checkout., Credit, Details., Google, Processing, provide, refering, service1 CommentA few weeks ago, someone told me about a new service Google is starting. They said that Google plans to offer a new credit card processing service. So, instead of using your bank to process your customers’ credit cards, you would use Google’s service instead. Supposedly you will also earn credit for Adwords by using this service. Has anyone else heard about this?

Do any ebay sellers use Costco’s Elavon Merchant Credit Card Processing service?
Filed under: Credit Card; Tagged as: CARD, Costco's, Credit, ebay, Elavon, Merchant, Processing, sellers, service2 CommentsI am interested in setting up this service for my auctions because it is cheaper than Paypal (although I’ll probably still offer Paypal as well) and I can sell stuff under the mature audience section, which PayPal does not allow.
Has anyone used this service for their ebay auctions? -

I want for people to be able to donate an amount of money on my website. The prices will not be set because people will be donating different amounts($1,$5, $100, etc). I do NOT want to use Paypal because I’ve heard about all the horror stories associated with them. Are there any safe alternatives? Thanks.

I just got a job selling credit card processing systems and service, has anyone ever done this? Im supposed to walk into businesses and get them to change to my provider (we pay buyout and provide lower rates) This is my first time doing this, and I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas, like where to go, what to tell them, why i should do it and if you want to change your current card processing company? i hope to work this question to its fullest potential, and will monitor it closely. Thanks
Of course there is extensive training and materials, i was looking for more of the devil’s advocate pov. someone who has done this before or uses thes machines and is unhappy, especially with the service.
