When processing a credit card, what does “Not Captured. Pick Up Card” mean?
2 CommentsThis transaction is being run without actually having the card in hand.

possibly the machine “thought” the card was inserted when it actually wasn’t, then it (obviously) couldn’t read it.

MY GUESS IS THAT THE ACTION NOT ONLY REQUIRES THE NUMBERS ON THE FRONT OF THE CARD BUT ALSO THE CODE WITHIN THE SIGNATURE BLOCK ON THE REVERSE OF THE CARD…THE PROCEDURE IS DESIGNED TOI INSURE THAT AN INDIVIDUAL HAS THE ACTUAL CARD IN HAND–THUS PICK UP CARD…TURN OVER AND ENTER THE SECOND CODE……OR IT CAN ALSO MEAN THE ISSURER IS ASKING THE MERCHANT TO TAKE POSSESSION OF THE CARD AS IT IS NO LONGER VALID
